Terms of use
The plain-language terms for using getchaabi.com and its free tools.
Draft: Chaabi hasn't launched yet. This document will be reviewed by a lawyer before launch, and we'll update it if anything changes.
1. About these terms
These terms apply to getchaabi.com, run by Chaabi's founder, Shivank Mathur, in Bengaluru, India, ahead of company incorporation. By using the site you agree to them. Questions: hello@getchaabi.com.
2. Information, not legal or tax advice
Our guides, sample agreements, stamp duty estimates, HRA calculations and rent receipts are general information to help you. They are not legal or tax advice. Rules change and depend on your situation, so confirm important points with the official source, a lawyer or a tax adviser before relying on them.
3. Your responsibilities
- Enter accurate information, and only for yourself or people who have agreed to it.
- Only create rent receipts for rent you have actually paid.
- Don't misuse the site, try to break it, or submit forms automatically.
4. Pricing
Drafting your rental agreement and your first download will be free. Government charges such as stamp duty and registration fees are payable by you, at actual cost, and we'll show the amount before you pay. We don't keep a copy of your agreement details, so generating it again later has a small fee, shown before you pay. If we offer other optional paid services, we'll show the price clearly before you choose them.
5. Availability and changes
Chaabi is pre-launch and plans to launch in Bengaluru in the first quarter of 2027. Features may change, and we may update these terms; the date at the top shows the latest version.
6. Liability
We work hard to keep information accurate, but the site and tools are provided as they are. To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for losses from relying on estimates or general information without checking them.
7. Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of India. Courts in Bengaluru, Karnataka have jurisdiction.
